TF Sport will return to the British GT Championship at its Blue Riband event, the Silverstone 500. The multiple British GT champions will field a pair of Aston Martin Vantage GT3s, with Giacomo Petrobelli and Bonamy Grimes, who will be partnered by AMR factory drivers, Charlie Eastwood and Marco Sørensen.

The series’ three-hour event is where Petrobelli made his one-off appearance last season and with that experience under his belt, and a Le Mans 24H-winning teammate in Eastwood, the Italian bronze-graded driver will be aiming for a podium finish.

This time my role will be from outside the driver’s cockpit, but we are grateful for the opportunity be able to partner Bon with current WEC world champion and Aston Martin factory driver Marco Sorense. JM

TF Sport welcomes back Bonamy, managed by the highly regarded Red River Sport agency, who will be joined by Sørensen, a two-time victor of the World Endurance Championship, for his British GT debut. Both drivers last raced with the team in 2018 scoring podium finishes and the duo will be targeting similar results at the ‘home of British motorsport’ endurance battle.

British GT’s Silverstone 500 will take place on 26-27 June.

Tom Ferrier, Team Owner - “It’s good to be back on home soil during a season full of international campaigns. We have proved ourselves in this championship over the years and with two solid driver pairings, it will be interesting to see where we fare amongst this season’s competition. I’m pleased to have both Bon and Giacomo back with the team and we will be pushing for strong results from them both.”

Giacomo Petrobelli, Bronze driver - “It is great to be back with Tom and TF Sport for another crack at the Silverstone 500. Last years’ race was my first one after a long period of inactivity, so being back at the same track, and at wheel of the same car, with the same great team but with a little more experience of it all, makes me very excited. I am also very excited about teaming up with Charlie, who has proven to be incredibly fast in the Vantage GT3, with the clear aim to compete with the best Pro-Am pairings in British GT.”

Bonamy Grimes, Bronze driver - “I’m really looking forward to teaming up again with Tom and TF Sport, a team whom I hold in high regard from when I raced with them in the 2018 Asian Le Mans Series, and then against them in the 2019/20 World Endurance Championship. I’m looking forward to competing for the very first time in the British GT championship and challenging myself against some of the very best bronze drivers in the country.”

Johnny Mowlem - “It will be great for Bon and Red River Sport to partner up with TF Sport again. This time my role will be from outside the driver’s cockpit, but we are grateful for the opportunity be able to partner Bon with current WEC world champion and Aston Martin factory driver Marco Sorensen whose record speaks for itself! I know how good Tom and the team are, so I know Bon will be able to challenge himself to be competitive and importantly also have fun at the same time.”
